No therapeutic range has been established for hydroxyitraconazole; activity and serum concentrations are similar to parent drug. Some studies suggest hydroxyitraconazole levels are slightly higher than itraconazole levels, with a HO-itraconazole:itraconazole ratio 1.1 - 2.5. Other studies suggest the combined itraconazole and HO-itraconazole concentration should be >1.5 ug/mL.
