Overview
We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our Finance Department and, in collaboration with the CFO, ensure the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Business Central 365 and CRM, worked in a sophisticated medium-sized Not-for-Profit organization, overseen the daily operations of a Finance Department, managed financial reporting, and fostered a culture of excellence and collaboration.
In this role, the candidate will focus on:
- Daily Financial Operations and Reporting: Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial processes.
- People Management: Supervise and mentor the Finance Team. Prior experience in direct people management is essential.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with CFO and work closely with various corporate levels to help align financial goals with organizational objectives.
- Compliance and Controls: Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to robust internal controls.
- Financial Systems Expertise: Maintain and optimize the organization’s accounting system.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Finance Department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and present financial statements for senior management and the Board.
- Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategies.
- Manage internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Supervise and mentor the Finance Team, promoting professional growth.
- Maintain and optimize the Microsoft Business Central 365 accounting system.
- Establish and enforce internal financial controls to mitigate risks.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making across departments.
- Ensure timely filing of specific business information.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing is required. Specific proficiency with Microsoft Business Central 365 is essential.·
- Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in business, experience with ERP systems implementation or integration, and healthcare industry experience.
