In-Common Laboratories (ICL) is thrilled to announce an exciting evolution in our organization’s history as we unveil our new branding, complete with a fresh new logo and brand slogan. This rebrand signals our commitment to growth, to innovation, and to improving access to laboratory testing within Canada’s health-care system.  

About ICL’s new brand identity 

The new ICL branding reflects our vision for the future, while honouring ICL’s long-standing legacy of excellence within the Canadian laboratory space. Initial assets of ICL’s new brand identity include: 


We’ve modernized the look-and-feel of ICL’s brand identity by introducing a sleek and memorable logo that incorporates new colours, imagery and fonts. The colour blue is associated with sentiments of credibility, trust and knowledge, and is traditional and familiar in the health-care sector. As a nod to ICL’s brand evolution, a splash of red remains in the test tube “I” and within the added maple leaf. This maple leaf highlights ICL’s mandate to support Canada’s health-care system. ICL does not have shareholders. We’re a proud, Canadian, not-for-profit organization, with a mission statement from 1967 that guides us to this day: Enhancing, through innovation and collaboration, access to laboratory services that improve health care and support the health-care system.

Lab Solutions Made Easy” — this is our commitment. Our clients have come to rely on us for seamless access to high-quality laboratory testing solutions, without complications or fuss. We’re a licensed and ISO 15189-accredited laboratory offering white-glove service to handle logistics in specimen management and referrals to ensure safe, affordable and efficient testing to inform diagnostic decision making and patient care.
