Effective Dec 17, 2024, The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) were directed to return to work. Although operations have resumed, delays are expected over the holidays and through to January. Please read below for updates that impact ICL’s FIT and ILS client groups.

FIT Clients

ICL will provide prepaid Purolator return envelopes for any FIT (Fecal Immunochemical Test) specimens waiting to be returned for analysis. Alternatively, you may wish to delay any further collections for the duration of the Canada Post labour disruption.

Any specimens that are currently in the Canada Post system for delivery will likely be delayed and therefore require recollection. Contact ICL Client Care at 416-422-3000 extension 300 if you have any questions about specimens that you believe should have been received for analysis.

To obtain prepaid Purolator envelopes please contact ICL Client Care at info@iclabs.ca and provide the facility address and the number of envelopes required.

Integrative Laboratory Services Clients

If your patient has already collected their sample and does not have a Purolator bag within their testing kit, please contact ICL Client Care at info@iclabs.ca to request a Purolator shipping bag, which we will promptly send to ensure timely sample delivery.
