Collection Instructions
CSF must be added to PCA immediately after collection in order to minimize
degradation of metabolites.
Handling Information
Pipette 0.5 mL of freshly drawn CSF from collection tube (on ice) into cold pyruvate tube containing 1 mL of 8% perchloric acid. Mix and spin in cold centrifuge. Aliquot supernatant into clean transport tube. Freeze immediately at -20°C.
