Handling Information

Place specimen in wet ice and separate plasma within 4 hours. If not placed on wet ice, separate plasma within 1 hour. Early separation of plasma from cells is necessary to avoid artefactual increaseof Homocysteine caused by erythrocyte conversion of methionine to homocysteine.Store and send frozen.
