Patient Preparation
Patients taking aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) may have decreased concentrations of prostaglandin F2 alpha. If possible, discontinue for 2 weeks or 72 hours, respectively, prior to collecting a specimen.

Collection Instructions
Collect urine for 24 hours. Preservative not required.
Please note that when collecting for multiple tests, the following preservatives are acceptable for this test: 50% Acetic Acid, Boric Acid, Sodium Carbonate.
Please note that Diazolidinyl Urea, Thymol, Toluene, 6M Hydrochloric Acid and 6M Nitric Acid are not acceptable.
Handling Information
Aliquot into plastic tube. Store and send sample cold or frozen.
