Cool specimen immediately on ice. Within 20 minutes of collection centrifuge at 1500 rpm for 10 minutes at 4°C. Carefully remove 1 mL of EDTA plasma from the upper part of the tube. Freeze immediately and send frozen in a plastic vial.
