Collection & Handling
Collection Instructions
Blood must be added to PCA immediately after collection in order to minimize
degradation of metabolites.
Handling Information
Pipette 0.5 mL of freshly drawn whole blood from Green top tube (on ice) into cold pyruvate tube containing 1 mL of 8% perchloric acid. Mix and spin in cold centrifuge.
