Planning is underway for the CDEF 2026, the national forum that brings together hospital executives and laboratory leaders to discuss the evolving state of laboratory medicine in Canada.

We have received many submissions for Presentation Abstracts and our Cross Country Check-Up sessions, and are currently building the 2026 program. Please check back for updates!
Presentation Abstracts highlight innovations, transformation initiatives, operational improvements and lessons learned that can benefit laboratories and health systems across Canada. Cross Country Check-Up sessions feature provincial updates on new initiatives, emerging challenges and interesting ideas we can learn from one another.
The CDEF is presented by ICL, proudly Canadian and intentionally not-for-profit. Our mission is enhancing access to laboratory services that improve health care and support the public health care system through innovation and collaboration. The CDEF forum is a chance for all of us to connect and be part of shaping what’s next!
Tickets are now available! Please take advantage of early bird pricing. From June 1-June 30, general admission tickets are $958.50. Starting July 1, general admission pricing is $1,065.
