Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Profile, Serum; test site LHSC
Test Overview
Clinical Utility
This test can be used to help distinguish between Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorders (NMOSD).
A single autoantibody test is not diagnostic and should not be used to determine course of treatment. The test result must be evaluated with consideration of clinical presentation, patient history and other laboratory tests.
