Test Overview
Method
Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)
Method Description
DHT is measured by liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for the highest level of analytical sensitivity and specificity. The common interferences that affect immunoassays (i.e., heterophile antibodies, human anti-mouse antibodies, or cross-reactivity to other similar structured steroids) are absent in this LC-MS/MS method.
