Test ID: CRPHS

C-Reactive Protein High Sensitivity (hsCRP), Serum/Plasma

Orderable by Ontario ND

Test Overview

Clinical Utility

CRP is a nonspecific marker of inflammation and a variety of conditions other than atherosclerosis may cause elevated levels. Estimations of inflammation should be based on the changes in CRP values from multiple measurements and used in conjunction with the values of other cardiac risk indicators. This high sensitivity assay may be used to evaluate cardiac risk.
